Frequently asked questions
- Managed Kubernetes from ServerPlus is a fully managed Kubernetes service in which we take on the deployment, updates, and maintenance of the control plane. You manage only your applications and worker nodes, without spending time on administering the cluster infrastructure.
- Containers in Kubernetes are a way of running applications in an isolated environment with dependencies and configuration already set up. This keeps the service running consistently regardless of the environment it runs in. Kubernetes manages containers automatically: it distributes the load, restarts them after failures, and scales them as traffic grows. An application can be split into several containers combined into clusters for high availability. This approach simplifies deploying, updating, and scaling projects, making the infrastructure flexible, reliable, and easy to manage.
- The service is suitable for microservices architectures, high-load projects, SaaS platforms, and any applications with scalability and high-availability requirements. Kubernetes is especially effective when you need to manage a large number of containerized services, ensure they restart automatically, and distribute load flexibly: - Microservices architectures - High-load web applications and APIs - SaaS platforms with dynamic load - CI/CD pipelines and development environments - Applications with high-availability requirements
- No, the cluster is deployed automatically. You get ready-to-use infrastructure and can start deploying containerized applications right away. ServerPlus handles control plane updates, monitoring its health, and resolving infrastructure issues.
- Current stable Kubernetes versions are supported, with the option to upgrade through the control panel — with no manual configuration and no cluster downtime.
- The control plane is managed by ServerPlus to ensure cluster stability and security. You get full access to your worker nodes and applications through kubectl and standard Kubernetes tools — everything you need for day-to-day work with the cluster.
- Yes, both manual and automatic scaling are supported. You can increase or decrease the number of worker nodes manually through the control panel. Horizontal Pod Autoscaler (HPA) and automatic node scaling based on load are also available — the cluster adjusts itself to your applications' current needs.
- Yes, the cluster can be integrated with any CI/CD system — GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and others. The standard Kubernetes API ensures compatibility with most popular tools in the DevOps ecosystem.
- Yes, you can use container images from any public registry (Docker Hub, GitHub Container Registry, and others), or connect a private registry with authentication.
